The New England Association of Chemistry Teachers is helping revive the Fairfield County Chemistry teachers group and together we plan to co-host four gatherings this year to share ideas and inspiration. The goal of these gatherings will be to bring local chemistry teachers together for support and companionship. (although all are welcome even if you don't teach in south west CT!) At the end of the first meeting we will decide as a group what we want the topic to be for the next meetings.
The first gathering will be Saturday October 19 When: 9:00am- 11:30 Where: Wilton High School Cost: Free. Topic: Phenomenon - using NGSS phenomenon in the chemistry classroom. Come in with a phenomenon you use or want to use in your classroom. There will also be time to share ideas and suggestions around other topics. Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP so we have an idea of how many people will be attending. If you can't make this meeting, but are interested in attending others this year let us know that too!
