The Central Massachusetts Section of the American Chemical Society

wishes to invite you to a Local Section Meeting to be held at

Clark University

950 Main St., Worcester, MA

March 12th, 2026

Room S120 Sackler Science Center

(Johnson Auditorium)

“New Faculty Night”

Continuing our old tradition, we have asked three new faculty from universities

within the Section to come and give a brief overview of their work and interests as a means to help introduce them to the area and to inform the membership about some of our newest additions.

Each person has been asked to speak for 12 minutes on their work and then we will allow a brief question period before the next speaker.

Schedule

6:00 – Social Hour (ok, half-hour)

6:30 – Dr. Benjamin Sturtz (Worcester State University)

6:45 – Dr. Aya Narunsky (Worcester Polytechnic Institute)

7:00 – Dr. Justin Lee (College of the Holy Cross)

A brief Section Business Meeting may occur (depends on whether there is any ‘Business’) followed by general conversation with the speakers (at least until the coffee and nibbles run out)
